How It Works
Bag for Cause is not just saving environment though empowering underprivileged and tribal women and creating a livelihood for the same.
We identify needy women in the rural and urban area and facilitate them bags stitching, designing training and sewing machines.
We are running a training centre in Bhiwandi, Ambadi area dedicated to train and empower tribal women since 2012. We are aiming to empower 1000 underprivileged and tribal women in 2018. Keeping this vision in mind, we are working to set up more training centre in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts.
A women can make 15-100 bags daily and earn good amount of money along with taking care of her family and household works.
We are appealing corporate, individuals, housingto help us to set up training centres, arrange sewing machines and a transportation vehicle under CSR.
To raise fund for the project we are running a campaign:
Exchange Your Raddi with Cloth Bags
In this campaign we are appealing housing societies, companies, corporates, schools, colleges to collect and donate their dry waste and E-waste to Bag for Cause. In return we will gift them both low cost (Bags for daily needs as grocery) and better quality designed clothes/canvas/cotton Tote /Jute bags with witty environmental quotes and messages that people can use for shopping, office, college and such other purpose.
What you can donate
newspapers raddi, old books, notebooks, carton, cardboard, magazines, both side printed waste papers, tetra pack, plastic bottles, boxes, bags, empty cans, metal scrap, etc.
items such as TV appliances, computers, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, camera, fridges, washing machines, dryers, stereo systems, toys, toasters and kettles etc.
We accept bulk orders and do customisation as per requirements.
